She has obtained her Master of Science in Ecology and Evolution (2008) and PhD in Tropical Medicine and Public Health (2018) from the Federal University of Goiás. She has experience in Phycology, algae ecology, and parasitology, with an emphasis on protozoa that causes malaria. Currently, she works on the design and discovery of new antimalarials, using the strategies of drug repositioning and chemogenomics.
